Bonalu

Bonalu

Bonalu is a significant Hindu festival celebrated annually in the state of Telangana during the Ashada Masam, typically falling in July or August. This joyous occasion revolves around the worship of Goddess Mahakali, manifesting in various regional forms such as Maisamma, Pochamma, Yellamma, Peddhamma, Dokkalamma, Ankalamma, Poleramma, Maremma, and Nookalamma.

At Superkidz Preschool, we partake in the festivities by offering the Bonam, accompanied by turmeric-vermilion, bangles, and a saree, to honor the Mother Goddess. Our entire school community, including staff and children, adorns traditional attire as a symbolic gesture of reverence during the worship. This practice serves as a means to impart the rich cultural heritage associated with Bonalu to the young minds at Superkidz, fostering an understanding and appreciation for our traditions.
