On August 15th each year, people throughout India unite in celebration of Independence Day, commemorating the nation’s liberation from British colonial rule. This year marked India’s 77th Independence Day, and the chosen theme, “Nation First, Always First,” echoed the government’s emphasis on fostering national unity and development.
At Superkidz Preschool, we observe Independence Day with unwavering enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Following the solemn flag hoisting ceremony, the festivities unfold with a array of cultural programs, including the recitation of patriotic songs and spirited stage performances by the children. Both staff and students don pristine white attire for the occasion.
The flag hoisting ceremony serves as a pivotal moment, instilling in the young minds the importance of respecting the national flag. Through active participation in this ceremony, the children not only become familiar with the national anthem but also internalize values of patriotism and love for their country. Songs like “Vande Mataram” and “Jana Gana Mana” further contribute to this subconscious assimilation of patriotic ideals, making Independence Day at Superkidz Preschool a meaningful and educational experience for all.
